Hello Brenda, I really enjoy reading all your books. Loved the Stillwater series and enjoyed the Whiskey Creek series. I haven't really got a book question more of a writer's question. (Most writer's have a way of writing books some write out scene than everything else is added). My question is how do you put your books together? I will understand if you unable to answer (Writer's secret). Thank you
Brenda Novak
Hi Leslie, thanks for the question. This isn't something I would consider a writer's secret; it's just not something I think I can adequate explain. Because I'm not a plotter (I don't work from an outline but rather let the plot grow out of the characters), I just sort of launch out into the dark. Once I start writing, the characters come into clearer focus and I can tell what would challenge those particular characters most--which is then what they have to face and overcome. I hope that helps! Best of luck! And thank you for your kind words about my books. I'm so happy that you have enjoyed them. Definitely don't miss my new suspense series that's just coming out. It starts with HANOVER HOUSE, which is out now. HER DARKEST NIGHTMARE will be out in just a month. They're bout a psychiatrist who studies serial killers at a remote facility in Alaska. :)

I loved the Evelyn Talbot series, and just finished book 2, Hello Again. I know it just came out this month, but I can't wait to hear how Evelyn and Amorak's story ends. Will you be writing it soon, or should I prepare for a long wait? p.s. I was a little confused in book one when they referred to things that already happened in a previous book. I am excited to go back and read Hanover House for clarification.

Hi Brenda! Did you consider that we'd have major sit-on-the-edge-of-our seat problems when we read this story??? I was fortunate to have read it early and OMG, I was SO invested in this family. I realize this is fiction however I can truly see anyone keeping family secrets, thinking "it's for [insert name]'s own good". Great story and thanks for telling it.
