Just do it. Set yourself a goal, and then stick to a writing schedule. Make the schedule a little flexible, but stick to it the best you can. For instance, I make an outline, and then make a calendar with all the chapters on the calendar and then I write a chapter every 2 weeks. If I finish a little early or run over, I'm not too concerned. I just stick to task.
