Goodreads asked Amy McKinley:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Amy McKinley The yoga pants. Just kidding. Working from home and doing what I love is amazing. Those moments when the scene opens up and I'm lost in it, the words flowing out effortlessly. I always think of that like a runners high. Or when you're reading a fantastic book and so lost in the world the author created and everything around you fades away. That is what I love.

Like any job, there are good days and bad. On the days when every word typed seems like its derived from an eight year old version of myself the laundry, cleaning, and anything in sight becomes a distraction.

There are a lot of great things. Too many really!
