Bob asked Jameson Parker:

Have you tried writing the scripts to any of your novels? I bet Return to Laughter would probably be commercial. Folks love a hero to zero, and redemption movies. Kirk Cameron does those kinds of non hollywood movies and has had some success via his independent company. Need to have a religious theme to the movie, which Return to Laughter has.

Jameson Parker Interesting question. Writing scripts is an art form all its own and something I've never tried. Purely as a writing exercise it would be an intriguing experiment, but I would want to do it with a stack of original scripts by my side, all of them by geniuses I especially admire (William Goldman leaps immediately mind). The problem still becomes self-promotion, something I stink at, and something I have to work on. Writing is all very well, but marketing what you have written is equally as important and the businessman in me is a lazy slacker who'd rather write. Hell, I'd rather wash the dishes and mop the floor.
I'm glad you told me about Kirk Cameron. I will check out his website (I assume he has one) and see what he does.
