Debra Evans THAT IS WHAT I WANTED TO KNOW! I get that authors want to give you a cliff hanger for mysterious effect, but that was not a good one. I can only think that she whispered something like "You're welcome," or "I love you," or maybe even "Good luck finding your dad".
