Jake Saunders asked:

I'm trying to decide if it would be worth while or a waste of time to listen to the audiobook... can someone comment on how dependent enjoyment of the book is on graphs, tables and other graphics?

Stephen Hendrickson classic catch-22. you need to listen to the book to develop the skills needed to determine whether or not to listen to the book. (so far, i really enjoy it but i'm not 37% of the way through.)
Mike I'm about halfway through and I can't recall anything where it says "as seen in graph/table x" - I think it referenced Standard Deviation once but it was nothing that was incomprehensible.
Albert Cloete I used the audio book. It's worth it. It's easy enough to follow and understand. No real reliance on charts or graphics as far as I remember.

I think I'm going to buy the Kindle version as well, for referencing and internalizing. The info in this book is gold.
B Schrodinger The audiobook is narrated well by one of the authors. Good, clear voice that is entertaining.
Randy I have both the audio and hardback versions. I have gone back and looked at the figures and tables, and they are quite good. Their absence, however, does not detract from the audio version in any way. It is a very good adaptation (not abridgment). I have a deep distaste for authors who read their own material (being authors and not voice actors/narrators), but this one is acceptable.
Ross I am enjoying the audiobook from Audible. No mention of charts or any graphics.
Ross
Dalin Williams I highly recommend the audio book. The narrator speaks in a clear, concise tone, making the sound neither snooze-worthy or overly exuberant.
Yanesh Tyagi I am reading paper book and thought of getting audio book (have audible credits lying around). However, I find myself flipping the pages backward to read some passage again that was referred on the current page. I am not sure how can I do that on audio book. If you are like me - who go forth and back around book for cross reference - audio book may not be your choice.

I have listened to more than 90 hours of audio books on audible including fiction, non-fiction and self help books.
Boni Aditya Audio book makes it easier to goo through the book - but it requires you to know what the author is talking about in the first place i.e. in this case if you are able to visualize all the algorithms without having to look at anything but your mind's eye of if you have previous experience with algorithms at work or if you had to work on a computer Science algo course. In all other cases, you better keep an open book or a pdf containing all the graphs for reference because, believe me - it is not at all easy to visualize their graphs!
Denisa I also highly recommend the audiobook, it's easy to listen to, the narrator is very good and I don't feel like missing out on anything.

(Listening to the Audible version)
Wellington I think there are no references to tables or charts, but it would be wise to listen to a sample before commiting to the book. I'm listening at 1.25x speed because the reading is slow paced to my taste, although very clear.
Bryan Britt I listened to the audiobook without the Kindle book. I have a background in math and computers, so I had no issues and did not miss any equations or whatever was in the book. It's explained in the prose with no issues. That being said, I hit the bookmark button so many times that as I was listening to the last chapter, I went on and purchased the book so I could better make and read my notes.
Gruia Novac not worthwile imo. both technically and entertainment wise..
not sure if i can answer your question as i only had the audiobook.
Paige I listened to the Audiobook, and at times would have appreciated the ability to go back and reference certain vocabulary definitions or sections of the book. This would have helped me understand a few things better. That being said, I definitely understood all the broader takeaways even without a few of the math-heavy details. The audio performance also very good. Without having seen a hard copy, I would say the audiobook is good.
Patrick I am about 1/3 into the book with Audible and no need for any visual materials.
Ákos Radványi I've listened to the audiobook (from Audible), and it was really good and understandable. The narrator was doing a good job, I can definately recommend it.
