The final ending left me chilled. She went to Antarctica and found the melting ice. She was told some of the things that have been done cannot be undone.

I took the end as hopeful but also as a warning. It's not all lost but we're in danger. I do feel the end was rushed, as I rushed to finish, but I remember finishing and feeling a sense of gloom and heaviness for the future.
