In this book series, each book is based on a mash-up of two fairy tales. This one was Beauty and the Beast and the Princess and the Pea, so I was inspired by those two stories, as well as the margrave's character, as he was a secondary character in the previous book, The Huntress of Thornbeck Forest. Honestly, I don't know where a lot of my ideas come from! I forget what inspired me, or I never really know. Brains and creativity are mysterious things. :-)

Hi Melanie! Quick question. Is Steffan in The Noble Servant in any of your other books? I am currently reading that one right now and I feel like I maybe have read his name somewhere before in your other books, but wasn't sure! Thanks for any clarifications! :) P.S.
