Goodreads asked K.P. Gresham:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

K.P. Gresham Writer's block would be a problem for me IF I didn't have two stories going at the same time. Here's how that works for me. I write on Book A until I hit that wall. (BTW, most blocks occur for me because I've written something "not right". It's like my subconscious says, "No way, honey. This is the wrong path.) Then I take up writing on Book B. It's like a breath of fresh air--I'm excited to be with these characters again, back in this plot again, etc. Eventually I will hit a block in story B. By that time, my brain (what there is of it) has figured out what's wrong with Book A. Sometimes I help this along by re-reading what I've already got down on the page. It's so much easier to see the forest through the trees when I've been away from the story for a little while.
