What made DAUGHTERS OF THE BRIDE such a special writing experience for you?

Hi, Linda! Thank you so much for your interest in DAUGHTERS OF THE BRIDE (out today!!!) It was the most fun I've had writing in a long time, though I always love what I do. Usually, I get sort of the germ of an idea, and then I have to spend a lot of time working with it, molding it, tweaking it to become a big enough idea to carry a whole book. With DAUGHTERS OF THE BRIDE, the idea came to me whole, which has only happened a couple times in my career. "Mom's getting married, and her three adult daughters need dates for the wedding." That idea just immediately grabbed my heart. The whole idea--pow!--like a gift from the universe. And it came complete with the title, which is another Hallelujah moment because I swear, I *never* get to title my own books. I'm just not good at it. But this title came to me, and everyone loved it.
The writing just flowed from me the entire time. With most books, I have a few scenes that I'm really excited to write, but with DAUGHTERS OF THE BRIDE, every day, I was like, "Oooh, I get to write such-and-such scene today!" Every day was a pleasure.
Plus, I adore Courtney, our family misfit. (I was going to call her "our little family misfit," but she's not exactly little. ;) ) She's gutsy and driven and smart, despite a learning disability that made her feel dumb for much of her life. And when she meets Quinn, she's pretty bowled away by how he sees her.
I don't want to say too much more, or I'll give away the whole story! :) Thanks again for the question!

Susan, I love your books and have been sent an e-mail that says I might be able to start being on your ARC team that receives books and writes reviews BUT since I live outside of the USA am not allowed. I know I would read and write the reviews and enjoy the process immensely. Any suggestions? Cathy

Susan, Thank you for such wonderful books! I love the way Sam's parents are sexually active in their sixties. It gives me hope. Where did you get your information for the instructions That Lark gives in her book and lectures or the the technique that Dellina uses on Sam. In the book they are presented as practical and effective.
Thank you!
