Im pretty sure they actually are related. I think Scythe is far in the future. In Unwind series the “cloud” is referred to as the “nimbus” which is what the Thunderhead was before it was itself....so that’s my theory...

It's Roland from Unwind, and I don't think this is supposed to be a spin-off of Unwind, it's rather an entirely new series.

ok so the character in unwind is roland, firstly
but i have a theory
when (spoiler) the union bridge blows up in everwild and mary is just standing there unfazed, the government realises it needs to do something about kids like her, who blow up bridges (which she didn't exactly blow up the bridge, but you get the point)
so they create the unwinding system, and unwind 1 is going on during everfound
then after undivided, they enhance the organ printing tech to be in the human body, hundreds of years after undivided, the events of scythe take place.

No correlation. The name in Unwind is Roland.

No, it appears to be an entirely unrelated story in a completely different world. Neal Shusterman, the author, often crowdsources names on Facebook and sometimes re-uses names. For example, Ralphy Sherman appears in several of his stories as a doofus/liar.
Людовика Фьюртенде
It's a totally new series. No connection with Unwind.
