I am thinking about starting this series but have a question to those that have read it. What would be the best way to read the series chronological order or how they were published? Can you follow the story if you go the publish route?? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

If the author published it in this order, it's the way they wanted it to be read. You learn about the different groups of animals in a way that's far more effective this way.
However, I do understand wanting to read any book series in chronological order. Especially if you're the type of person who has a hard time keeping track of information, you might want to consider doing it this way instead.(less)
