Would you ever write a book about time travel? How well do you think you would fare if you traveled back in time to the Ancient Roman Period? What time do you think you would do better in, Medevial Rome or Ancient Rome?

Time travel? Probably not, or at least, it hasn't hit my imagination yet in any way, probably because I find the modern era a bit boring to write about. I like to LIVE in the modern era--I don't think I'd fare that well traveling back in time; I like modern conveniences like vaccines and bathrooms and the right to vote--but for fiction, I really do prefer the past! (Though if I did go back in time, give me ancient Rome over medieval Rome any day. Ancient Rome had it better it terms of daily bathing and religious persecution.)

Hi Kate, I've read "Tiger Queens" and loved it as well. Why not write the story that bridges these two worlds? There is some historical evidence to suggest that ancient Sarmatians emigrated to Mongolia (http://www.pbs.org/wnet/secrets/amazon-warrior-women-clues-evidence/1471/). What a story you could tell of the last of the Amazons fleeing to a land that doesn't try to enslave and confine their fighting spirit!
