There is now a version out for kids that probably eliminates the f-bombs. It's by the same author, Ashlee Vance, so should be just as good, maybe even better, since I think it has more pictures in it.
Julie Hendrix
if a young person is curious and motivated to learn about space rockets, electric cars, and some related history, then i think someone as young as 11-12 might read all or part(s) of this book. the author goes into great detail, but the entire biographical story is compelling. there is also a lot of info about the early days of the internet, musk's ancestors and immediate family, and historical info on paypal and solar city. musk is a fascinating person, and i believe his story has a wide appeal.

Also, Elon uses a word starting with the letter "F" and rhymes with "truck" a LOT, so keep that in mind for younger readers. But yes, what Julie Hendrix said is on point.
Nick
I'd say 14 and up
Seneca Manu
i think all ages. It uses some slur, but it's just natural and in non-degrading manner.
