I read the first book in this series and I loved it, but when I saw some of the reviews for the second book, people seemed kind of disappointed. Is it worth reading the second book in order to get to the third?? Or does the series kind of go downhill after the first book??

Lianne (Mama Snark Reading) I loved the second book as well.
rachel, x I honestly swear that the second book is 100% better than the first book. I liked the first book, for the most part, but the second book was incredible. I don't think I've, personally, talked to a single person who thought that Jackaby was better than Beastly Bones. And I've just started this one and it's already amazing so far.... so I'd definitely recommend continuing on with the series!
Tahleen Definitely keep reading. The third book answers questions raised in the first, and we start to learn more about Jackaby's past, as well as Jenny's. There are lots of unanswered questions by the end of book three, though, so be prepared to wait for number four!
Julie I loved the second book, and I'm currently loving the third.
Carissa I loved the second book. I thought it was even better than the first. I've just starting #3!
Melanie Knight There are important story arcs that begin in Beastly Bones that move into Ghostly Echos. You won't want to miss that. Plus, there are important character development situations for Abigail, Charlie, and Jenny. There were aspects of the second book that I wanted to spend more time with, and it didn't happen. That left me a little disappointed. But stick with it. It's all connected.
