C. L. Mullikin asked Millie Florence:

Salutations Millie! I was wondering, what does your writing routine typically look like in a 'normal' day? How does that compare to your writing routine in the past?

Millie Florence I typically get up in the mornings, walk a mile or do yoga, eat breakfast, and then make a cup of tea and sit down at my desk to write. My goal is to write until lunchtime, and then do other work in the afternoon. I like to write in the mornings because my mind is a bit clearer and it's easier to put my full focus on the story I'm trying to tell.

But regardless, the must-haves for my writing routine are a walk beforehand and a cup of tea.

When I was still in high school (I was homeschooled) I did all my schoolwork in the mornings and then wrote in the afternoons. I did that because I knew otherwise I would procrastinate schoolwork indefinitely, but I've always preferred to write in the mornings. My writing time is very special to me, and genuinely my favorite time of day.
