Goodreads asked Ralph La Rosa:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Ralph La Rosa Write, write and then write. With about 10,000 hours of practice in your favorite genre, you will be a competent writer. With more effort, you'll be good. I didn't start writing poetry until in my late sixties, so I'm still a "young poet" who needs a lot of practice.
