At the moment I'm working on finishing my Sci-Fi/Dystopia series, Insurrection. Writing about dictatorial governments and mysterious rebel leaders and aliens and unlikely heroes has been a lot of fun. I'm a long-time fan of the genre though, so FTL drives and space battles were bound to find their way into my writing.
I'm also in the midst of drafting the first novel of a new YA/NA Fantasy trilogy titled Sundered Kingdoms. Taking place in a land not unlike the arctic tundra, a young widow finds herself unwillingly betrothed to a goblin prince.
It's interesting to write Fantasy and Sci-Fi at the same time. The stages are so utterly different it takes a moment to shift my brain from one to the other. Chair twirling helps.
