Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Tom Trott A large part of my inspiration were the Madeleine McCann and Shannon Matthews disappearances. I took those two cases and shuffled them about, adding my own elements as well. This creates a potent background upon which I can base Joe Grabarz's next misadventure.
