Where did you first encounter the elusive jackalope? Are you a native South Dakotan, because I thought we were the only ones who ever got to see them live, out on the prairies! Maybe you could write a story about them!!

M.K. Wiseman I'm a New Mexico girl and we get the occasional jackalope down that way, too!
I've been on-and-off working on a steampunk western set outside of Santa Fe, NM Territory. Hadn't thought there would be any jackalope involvement but now that you say it, it's tempting. :)
(And now I have to plug Charles De Lint's most excellent "Medicine Road" -- if you haven't read it you're missing out! Actually, I've never met a story of his I didn't love.)
