Thanks for reading my books! I think all writers are inspired at least in part by the books they read, and of course I read the fantastic THG trilogy. Was it an inspiration in writing FIRE & FLOOD? Of course! But probably not to the extent that some readers may believe. I think it's just one of the first comparison books that comes to mind when trying to explain to a fellow bookish friend what the story feels like.
I've heard people say FIRE & FLOOD is similar to THE MAZE RUNNER, THE HUNGER GAMES...and many readers claim I drew inspiration from Pokemon--though I have little idea what exactly that is. Ha!
The REAL inspiration for my story came from a different book, though no one has ever guessed what that was, and I'll never tell. Hint: It's a very popular book.

Hi victoria, I love the fire & flood series! I hope the third book comes out. I am a fan of Tella and Guy being a couple. Could you please leave them as a couple till the end of the story?? Whatever happens, I would really like it if they stayed together because they are the main reason i love these books :)

Hi, big fan of your books! I have two questions about Fire and Flood. 1) How long is Tella's hair after she cuts it? She refers to it as 'completely gone'. Does that mean she's literally bald, or has she just cut chin-length or something? 2) When is the book set? Present day, near future, or is it just timeless?
