Hello! Thank you so much for writing the Gone series and providing such excellent escapism! The books were really enjoyable and nerve-racking! And I haven't even read Light yet! One question: Did you do any research while you were writing the Gone novels or any of your other novels?

For GONE all I used for research was Google Earth. FRONT LINES is a very different experience, very heavily researched. I want every detail to be right, so, for example when my characters are being instructed on aiming the M1 Garand rifle, I use sections that are lifted word-for-word from the Army's own training video.

Dear, Michael Grant I have enjoyed reading your GONE series, I often use the Audio book that has been posted on your YouTube channel and love the narration. However, Most of the Audio books are cut short and are incomplete. Where could I find the full version or the other half? I don't mind if it costs anything.

Writing question: How do you get a likable character (Suzy, for example), with some flaws (overly excitable, doesn't think things through, can be arrogant), give her a challenge, have her accomplish that with friends, make the reader swoon... And finally brutally murder Suzy leaving her friends emotional trama and depression, along with the reader, without it being cheesy? (you seem well known for this! :) )

Would you write more books inf the GONE series after VILLAIN and HERO if people really really and enjoyed it and wanted more books? I love this series I've never read a book/series better than this! I'm reading monster right now and I'm excited for VILLAIN and HERO!
