Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Elizabeth D. Marie Well, the short answer would be, it's a Cinderella retelling—so, from Cinderella, of course. The longer answer is: I didn't originally plan to continue Crown of Stars after the first book, but when the King showed up in Saving Beauty (book 1) and after a particular scene between him and the heroine (I won't tell you more if you haven't read it!), he endeared himself to my heart and I knew his story needed to be told. He was perfect for the Cinderella retelling, as if it was meant to be! So while I finished editing and proofing book 1, I started working on book 2 "Chasing Cinders"
