Goodreads asked Eliza March:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Eliza March Every author I know says the same thing, "Ideas are not the problem. Sorting through them and deciding which to use is the problem." My head is filled with characters and conversations, action and description. I know...I sound schizophrenic. My nephew has his PHD in Psychology so I'm well aware of how this sounds. ;-) In any case, my most recent book is the third book in my Hearts of Darkness series. Damn the Darkness is a continuation of a story unfolding in the outskirts of New Orleans in a Parrish where the people are more than they appear. Once you have established characters, writing their continuing stories is a pleasure. You just have to come up with more conflict to throw at them...the hard part is getting them out of trouble once you put them in certain circumstances.

In The Leopard, The Lion, and The Wolf (one of my recent re-releases) one of my main characters was out hunting for several months until I could come up with a way to get him back into the cabin. It paid off, though. I believe that following scene is one of my best.
