I enjoyed the book but I had a really hard time with one thing. She was an expert in arson and was a very smart girl..... so does anyone really think it would take her so long to figure out what was happening? I mean how could she not see who was doing all these things?

Rosalie I think to be fair to Reena, she did question Josh's death and was never completely satisfied with the answers.
Rosalie
Tammy Wight She's looking at fires all the time. The crimes all happened years apart and even though she studied the first one after graduation, learned the details of Hugh's, it was not done at the same time. The explanation for Hugh's seemed very shut and done at the time. Josh - I think she had asked and finally had to believe the conclusion the investigators had made. The jerk's car was different and didn't even tie at the time.
That at least was my justification. You have to remember the book encompasses a twenty year period.
Lynn I thought the same thing! Kind of ruined the book for me, actually.
