A Goodreads user asked Felicity Heaton:

So, how many new potential stories do you have floating around in your head at the moment? Do you ever get flashes of side-line stories while writing & get side tracked or think "ooh! I'll have to come back to that" or do you try to stay solely focused on the storyline that you're working on?

Felicity Heaton Hi Flora! Great question. At the moment, I have notes for another 40 stories in series that I plan to write, plus around 7 stand alone titles that I would like to write. The series stories are split over 8 different series. I do get story ideas while I'm writing or working on other projects, and whenever it happens I take a moment to scribble down the idea and explore it a little to satisfy my muse. Once it's out of me, I carry on with whatever I was doing. It's always best to write it down as that moment of inspiration comes to you, as otherwise you end up forgetting the idea!
