Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Rob Buckman 'The Prize' came from an old Sci-Fi novel that really didn't go into the possibilities inside the pyramid. The reason for the construction or what it's purpose was, was never explained. Join that with the human race being invaded by a galactic empire and a genetically engineered super soldier/assassin and I thought I'd have a great basis for a story. From the alien's point of view all humans are stark raving mad as they wouldn't stop fighting no matter how many they killed. After that the story sort of evolved into a complete novel. I also brought in the purpose of government and the possibility of finding the right people to govern, other than the way we do things now.
