Only a small part of it is joyous. Unfortunately, Angel learning to celebrate physical love is part of her redemption, so leaving that part out of the movie would make her redemption feel incomplete. The sexual content would have to be handled with restraint and taste or the movie would collapse into porn.

If the spiritual content is cut, you won't even have the same story any longer. The spiritual content is too integral to be removed.(less)
