Where does your interest come from in weaving the supernatural into your novels?

F.G. Cottam I had four novels published at the start of the century as Francis rather than F.G. and all dealt with serious themes. Then I changed tack, deciding to write only with the ambition of creating the kind of stories I would like to read. Nothing fascinated me more than ghost stories growing up. So you could say the subject matter determined itself. I'm not really interested in writing zombie or vampire fiction and Steampunk isn't for me either. That still leaves a lot of scary stuff. The world can be a strange place and has an ancient history.
