I do touch very briefly on Pink's mental state:
“I know you didn’t want to go in there. I know it wasn’t easy for you. We needed to know what we were dealing with, and you got that intel.” Kennedy was making an observation not offering sympathy.
“He’s in better shape than I expected from someone kept in solitary confinement for that long.” Jason couldn’t hide his bitterness.
“He’s a survivor.”

And, yes, you're right. Jason and Sam have not seen the last of Pink. ;-)

What's going on with book 6 of Secrets and Scribbles? I saw on your website it got push back again to November and the "ish" at the end is worrisome. I totally understand stuff happens, waiting just sucks lol and I don't want to read book 7 until I read book 6 =).

On my umpteenth read of 'death of a pirate king' and as always I find myself perplexed at the end about why Jake told Paul Kane about Adrien's plan on the boat. I know he doesn't want to believe Paul is the killer, but that doesn't quite explain why he would betray Adrien's intentions?
