Personally, creative fluid cannot be turned on and off like a water tap or electric switch.
Intuition and creativity are quantum phenomena, as described in my book "Strange Entities", processes that involve higher consciousness, and therefore share the unpredictability of quantum systems.
Therefore I rarely try to force myself to write, although some recommend writing every day.
Once the creative spirit appears, then finding the discipline to do writing every day should come naturally, and be enjoyable.
While I am experiencing "writer's block", I make lists of ideas for connecting together, ready for when the desire returns.
We need to be patient and gentle with ourselves.
