Bookfan300 asked Jo Baker:

What inspired you to write books?

Jo Baker hello!

I've always written stories, ever since I learned to write. And when I'm not writing little narratives are happening in my head - trying to understand others' motives and explain behaviour and make sense of things for myself. I we probably all do that - that it's just part of human nature, of how we made it as a species, this kind of storytelling reflex. It helps us empathise, see how the world looks from someone else's point of view, and that helps us as social animals. I suppose I just push things along a bit further and expand those narratives and get them down on paper.
