I'm so confused. I've read the Brooklyn Sinners series but I can't figure out where Levi and Van first started. Are they somewhere in the Run This Town series? I just don't want to read Scars and Secrets till I figure this out. Help!

We meet Van (very briefly) in Sinner, Savior. Blink and you miss him, because he wasn't supposed to be anybody special. We first hear mention of Levi--Pablo's dude in Philly--in Sinner, Savior as well.
At the end of A Sinner Born Van gets info on Levi from Syren.
And in Sinner's Fall we get the full info on just what the deal is with Levi and Van.
There's nothing of note about them in the Run This Town books. From the Sinners, we go to All These Hidden Scars which sets the stage for Scars and Secrets.
