Hey, I've been in love with the fall away characters since the birth of bully. In fact, I've been one of your oldest fans. Despite the number of book boyfriends I read, My favorite and tbh my book crush is always JARED. I would kill for someone like him. Literally. ;) What inspired a character like Jared?

Jared, I think, was inspired by my fantasy at the time. I like confidence, but I don't like braggarts and show-offs. He's quiet, doesn't care what anyone thinks (or pretends not to), he does his own thing, and he always comes out on top. Strong, brooding, intense...that's the kind of guy I wanted him to be, so that's the way I made him.
I know a lot of readers hated him, but I'm so glad I didn't make him softer or make him redeem himself more. He kept that edge, even after he got the girl, and I think if writers do what feels right then the readers can tell when they read it. If I didn't love Jared or let him be the guy I loved most and I tried to censor him or change him, you wouldn't have loved him as much, either.

You said you already know who Hawke's love interest would be...I'm really hoping its Quinn*sigh*..With Hawke having freedom and independence to be himself and Quinn being so sheltered by her father I think it would be a great story, kind of like Jax and Juliet.. Soo would you consider it??
