I don't rely on inspiration to write. I write 6 days out of 7 no matter what. My characters tend to storm fully formed into my head, and then I get to make a story to fit them. Sometimes a character will be more gentle with me and I can craft the story and character together. As for inspiration, everything around me is an inspiration. I carry a notebook or notepad app everywhere and I often take notes. It could be the shape of a stranger's eyes, or the sound of a voice or the way a tree leafs out...inspiration is all around us.
