Hello there! I started reading Keeper a few months ago and I L-O-V-E the books! Your writing is incredible, and I love it. I love to write as well, and I'm working on developing several story ideas. I have a few questions: -What is your writing process? -When you get an idea, what do you do first? -Tips for overcoming writers block? And just for fun...what is your elven ability? Thank you so much! ~Grace <3

Shannon Messenger I don't know that I have a writing "process." I usually brainstorm until I know some of the big turning points in the story--and the end--and then I sit down and I write, knowing I'll be revising a ton before the book is "done." So when I get an idea, the first thing I do is brainstorm. Also writing it down is important, so I don't forget. I personally don't believe that writers block actually exists. Just that writers get a little stuck and that the trick is to brainstorm and play the "what if" game until you feel inspired again. And my ability would be to teleport so I could skip security at the airport!
