Thank you so much! Whenever I hear I've brought more tears into the world, I cackle like a witch. Bahaha. I too am going insane, but maybe not only because of the wait for the sequel.

I'm so glad you asked about Liz! She's very much a mish-mash of my group of friends in high school and, accordingly, very much a Michigander. She's named after those friends, too -- first name and last name. As for her personality -- I get pretty crotchety when people imply that she's not a nice person. She very much is, and she tries very hard to accommodate others, and sometimes that's exhausting and unsustainable. This is something I see in a lot of people I love. (Because here's another fun fact: *MY* parents are both social workers.)
