I read my first of your books as a B&N Serial Read. It captivated me! Imagine my surprise (okay, horror) at seeing the Harlequin name and realizing I'd just read - and really loved - a romance novel! Yikes! Since then I've read almost all your books. They make me laugh and cry and provide a great escape. I live in the NE (near Just One of the Guys) and wonder how you learn about your locales?

Kristan Higgins I'm a New Englander, and most of my books are set in places that are familiar to me. I do travel to visit the location before every book, even if it's part of a series, to refresh my memory and find details to make it feel authentic.
