Hi Mary, I can't wait for Don't You Cry. Can you share some good nuggets about the differences between writing your 2nd and 3rd novels? Was one easier? Did you feel more pressure? Any writer's block? Changes to your writing routine? etc. Also, how many times have you been mistaken for the actress Sarah Wayne Callies? :) Thanks! All

Mary Kubica Ha! Only once, but someone did ask if she was my long lost twin! Between books 2 and 3 I actually had great difficulty writing, and in fact, tossed an entire manuscript in that time that I felt fell short of my own and my readers' expectations. One day I may go back to it and see if it's salvageable, but at the time I needed a fresh start - which is how Don't You Cry came to be. As I was running out of time on my deadline thanks to the abandoned book, I wrote faster than I've ever wrote in my life with this one, and finished a draft of the novel in about two months! Thankfully my fourth novel (2017 release) has gone much more smoothly, and I'm just finishing up revisions for that now. Thanks for the great questions!
