Craftygirl81 asked Mary Kubica:

Hi Mary! I was wondering if you ever had written something in your book that you thought was amazing but then later changed it in fear of your readers reaction? Example: killing a character or erasing a big important scene. ??? Thanks

Mary Kubica I haven't - not for fear of reader reaction, though I have certainly made changes because a scene was unnecessary or I changed my mind on a plot decision, etc. The book itself is my number one priority, and I don't want to compromise that for anything - and often times what one reader doesn't like, another will enjoy. It's so hard to please everyone and so I do what I feel is best for the sake of the novel and its characters. Great question!
