I have enjoyed your novels and look forward to reading your latest! What do you find to be the hardest part of writing a novel?

Mary Kubica The middle of the book. The beginning is always fresh and new, and the ending has the big twist and is essentially everything I've been leading up to - but writing a middle that doesn't sag or bore can be hard! It's important to add a few twisty elements to the middle to make sure readers stick through to the end.

Hi! Read Pretty Baby recently and loved it! Ending was great! I love when you think you have it all figured out and you're completely wrong, so thank you for that! Anyway, my one question was, while writing, did you ever have "willow" as actually being pregnant with her foster fathers child? Was that ever in any of your ideas while writing the book? very excited to start The Good Girl because of your writing style!
