Re All the Winter’s After: Great read! Loved it. Reminded me of another story that I couldn’t put my finger on until today: One my favorite television shows of the late 1990s: Northern Exposure, starring Rob Morrow and Janine Turner. Follows a similar story arc wherein Morrow, an outsider falls in love with the outdoorsy Turner, and the people and places surrounding fictional Cicely, Alaska. Were you perhaps a fan? ;)

Seré Prince Halverson I was! I loved Northern Exposure. It's been so long since I've watched it, you're making me want to see if I can find it on Hulu or Netflix. And yes, I can see some of the "Alaskaness" that both stories share. There are a few similarities, but the situation and the characters of Nadia and Kache are so different from Joel (a NY doctor) and Maggie (bush pilot), that I hadn't made the connection. But I'm honored by the comparison, because it was such a great show. Thanks, Stephen! Now I'm off to see if I can find it. (Book Three might be delayed because author was binge-watching Northern Exposure...)
