When Paul D escapes from a plantation and heads north, " Georgia took up all of Alabama and Mississippi then." That would place this event before 1817. But then the slaves encounter "Cherokees who chose a fugitive life rather than Oklahoma." Jackson's Indian Removal Act was in 1830. Am I missing something or is this timeline impossible?
