Goodreads asked Tudor Robins:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Tudor Robins Really, the best advice I can give is to finish your first project. I mean really finish it. Write it to the end, and then read it critically, and re-write, and revise it until you're as happy with it as you can be.

There will be times when you'll need to put Project #1 aside for a while to think about it, and reflect on how to improve it. During those times, start Project #2.

So, my advice is write - but not JUST write - also see projects through to the end. Do this for a while, and you'll be surprised how your portfolio grows!
