Minerva Weaver
Minerva Weaver asked Kathe Koja:

Asking as a writer myself: what are the biggest inspirations you draw from in your writing? Any writers you find come through the most in your own work, or real life sources of inspiration? And what, in your opinion, helped you grow the most as a writer? When did you begin to see the greatest improvement in your work?

Kathe Koja There’s nowhere inspiration isn’t. What you can use depends on what we’re looking to write, where your own radar is pointed. And your own pantheon of writers may, and should, change as your work evolves.

What helped me grow as a writer, from the very beginning until now, is reading, reading, reading. Reading for research, for pleasure, reading everything.
