I'm inspired by things I've read, conversations with friends, movies I've seen, and so on. With respect to The Navigator, the story had been percolating in my head for a while so it flowed out of me pretty quickly. In the end, I'm inspired to write fun books that I'd like to read. Ultimately, I'm writing for myself and inviting others to join me.
