How do you deal with writer’s block?

Mark Benjamin Funnily enough, I've never had to deal with writer's block. I normally write down my book ideas (which I have dozens) that I have never faced this problem. What I can say, is that where some of the block occurs, is when I'm sorting out how the protagonist escapes a particular event. That process of getting my character out of a tight spot can sit with me for hours, days, even weeks before the shining light suddenly pops up into my head.
