Brenda
It falls into the inspirational/Christian fiction category, but I need to say it is not "too religious" in that it obviously follows the belief that there is a God who has a plan for all of us but does not "preach" to us.
Don't avoid reading it because you don't think you would enjoy this category of fiction. I have to say I personally enjoyed not having to endure a lot of sexual and/or gory scenes! I would think any reader would enjoy this read! It is a very well written suspense novel and I couldn't wait to get to my local library to get the second novel!

Brenda is right that it can be enjoyed by anyone, but it definitely preaches and has an evangelical Christian theme that pops up periodically as characters contemplate their religious beliefs and literally evangelize to each other, including in the final scene. You can certainly tell that the author is writing from a Religious Right worldview, though the story is not inherently political.
Asterope
Yes, it's Christian fiction. It's published by Zondervan, which publishes Christian and inspirational fiction.
Pastor McKeiver
Most definitely!
