What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Amanda Fleet The best thing for me is the freedom to work in a way that I want to. That's not always 9-5, Monday to Friday. I am more creative in the morning and late afternoon/early evening, so I don't always write after lunch, but do other things instead like go for a walk, do chores, read a book, browse online. Not many employers let you do that!
I suppose the other great aspect is that I'm doing what I love to do (most of the time) - creating characters, building worlds, solving puzzles... it's not work if you love what you're doing!
