Which of the songs was the easiest to turn into a sonnet? Which was the most difficult?

"The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" was definitely the easiest. It wrote itself, which I'm grateful for, because I wouldn't have done as good a job.
The hardest one is a little tougher to answer; there are some songs my brain's been working on for years! Out of the finished sonnets, I'd say "Material Girl" was the hardest to write. My editor's sole request was to write a Madonna song, so I tried on and off for months to write it. I finally finished it -- at 3am the day I turned in my manuscript!
